Attica Lumber was originally established in 1880 as a building supply company and planing mill owned by Wesley Ranger. In 1965 under the co-ownership of Glenn Sattler and Russ Wackenheim it evolved into a retail lumber yard and custom millwork operation. Then in 1982 when Mr. Sattler retired, Russ’s son Tom became his business partner, custom millwork took over the driver’s seat and paved the way for where we are at today. Since then years have passed and even though Russ has passed ownership of the company to our current officers, Tom Wackenheim and Kevin Demars, you still will find Russ in the mill or yard “keeping an eye on things”. All these things are a perfect example of how years of experience and dedication have allowed us to not only become masters of our trade, but enables us to stay very competitive with our quality and pricing. Here at Attica Lumber we pride ourselves in making quality custom millwork products such as Hardwood Moldings, and Dovetailed Drawers.
